You are Valuable

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” (Psalm 139:13 KJV)

Many folk today will pay a lot of money to look different than they look. Some parts of their body are too big so they will pay to have them made smaller. Some parts of their body are too small so they will pay to have them made bigger. There are creams to grow hair and there are creams to remove hair. There are hair pieces, hair plugs, hair transplants and even spray hair in a can. There are nips and tucks and there are injections that tighten the skin. Just think of all the money folk spend on changing what God has fearfully and wonderfully made.

What does that mean to be “Fearfully made?” The word “fearfully” is the Hebrew word “yare” which means to respect, to revere, to honor, to stand in awe of, and to be afraid of. Therefore, when God says you are fearfully made, it means He made you full of respect, reverence, honor, and awe.

  • Because God is worthy of respect, you are respectfully made.
  • Because God is worthy of reverence, you are made in reverence.
  • Because God is worthy of honor, you are made in honor.
  • Because you stand in awe of God, God is awesome and you are an awesome creation of God. You are made in the image of God.

You need to get your value from God and not from other people. God can prove how valuable you are. Remember when the sinful people in the world tell you how valuable you are they are influence by the devil and the devil is a liar. That means you getting your value, your self-worth from sinful people, their heart is sinful, mouth is filled with sinful words, minds filled with sinful thought, and they are telling you God made a mistake in creating you this way. Your lips are too big and your hips are too wide. You should tell them, “God made me who I am.”

God proves you are priceless by sending His Son to die for your sins. If you weren’t important, if you were not worth anything, Jesus would have never come.

When you look at yourself and everything that makes you who you are – (your giftedness, your anointing, and your talents) you should stand in awe of what God has created in you.  David begin Psalm 139:13 by saying, “I will praise thee O Lord.”

Wonderful Made means GOD UNIQUELY DESIGNED YOU. Whenever you walk into a clothing store, to purchase a shirt, a belt, dress, or a pairs of shoes, they come off the store shelf. These things were mass produced in a large factory. But God didn’t produce you “off the shelf.”  You were custom designed by God, your DNA proves that God doesn’t mass produce people. You were wonderfully crafted by God.
